Alchemy - Terms of Service (Experimental)

1. What Alchemy Is (and Isn't)

Alchemy is a platform where users can submit, track, and explore investment ideas in a simulated environment. The Service may include analytics, leaderboards, performance tracking, and visualizations.

Important clarifications:

• Alchemy uses simulated capital only.
• No real money is invested, traded, transferred, or held.
• Performance results are hypothetical and illustrative, not real.
• Alchemy does not provide investment advice, brokerage services, or portfolio management.
• Nothing on Alchemy should be relied on to make real-world financial decisions.
• This is an experiment built to explore ideas, not a financial product.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Alchemy.

By using the Service, you confirm that:

• You meet this age requirement.
• You are using the platform for lawful purposes.
• You understand this is a simulated, experimental product.

3. No Investment Advice (Seriously)

All content on Alchemy is for educational and informational purposes only.

Nothing on the platform is financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

Alchemy is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, exchange, or fund.

Any decisions you make outside the platform are entirely your own responsibility.

Simulated results do not reflect real-world outcomes and should not be interpreted as such.

4. Accounts

Some features require creating an account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Keep your login credentials secure.
• Accept responsibility for activity under your account.

Alchemy is not responsible for losses or issues caused by unauthorized access to your account.

5. User-Submitted Content

You own the content you submit (ideas, comments, data, etc.).

By submitting content, you give Alchemy permission to display it within the platform, analyze it, store it, and use it to improve the Service.

This license is non-exclusive, royalty-free, and limited solely to operating Alchemy.

You confirm that:

• You have the right to submit the content.
• Your content does not violate laws or third-party rights.

6. Things You Can't Do

Please don't:

• Use Alchemy for illegal, deceptive, or fraudulent purposes.
• Submit knowingly false or manipulative information.
• Attempt to break, exploit, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent who you are.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules to protect the integrity of the experiment.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Alchemy is subject to our Privacy Policy.

If you sign in using Google or another third-party provider, we only access what's needed to operate the Service and we do not sell user data.

8. Third-Party Services

Alchemy relies on third-party tools (e.g., hosting, authentication, analytics).

We're not responsible for their availability, their content, or their policies or practices.

9. Ending Use of the Service

You can stop using Alchemy at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, the Service needs to be modified, paused, or shut down, or legal or security concerns arise.

This is an experiment, and availability is not guaranteed.

10. No Guarantees

Alchemy is provided "as is" and "as available."

We don't guarantee:

• Accuracy of simulated performance.
• Continuous uptime.
• That the Service will meet your expectations.
• That bugs, errors, or interruptions won't occur.

Use the platform at your own discretion.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Alchemy (and anyone affiliated with it) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, or perceived losses, decisions you make based on simulated results, or reliance on platform content.

Because Alchemy uses simulated capital only, you agree that no real financial loss can occur through use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to hold Alchemy harmless from claims or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your submitted content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the experiment evolves. If changes are significant, we'll update the date and may notify users in-app. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
